Traditional Iron Buddha Oolong Tea

The Origin Story
Skilfully crafted in a style now rarely seen, this tea is of one of the definitive Chinese Oolong teas, medium baked and oxidised in the traditional way. In contrast to the modern lighter styles, this tea is a balance of fresh flavours and darker notes, rounded and smooth with prominent fruitiness. We’ve worked really hard to find a producer who will oxidise the tea sufficiently and bake it without over-doing it. It's a very rewarding tea, that is both comforting and complex, revealing an amazing range of aromas and flavours over multiple infusions.
China - Fujian

Fujian is home to some of the world's best oolongs, white and black teas

Anxi County in Fujian is the original home of this tea. Along with Wuyi, Anxi is a renowned centre for oolong production in Fujian, itself the home of oolong tea. The history of tea production in Fujian stretches back over 1000 years.

    Nectar of the gods!!!!
I recently ordered a 10g sample of this delightful oolong and it was gone in a day. From the moment the hot water hit the leaves, the most beautiful aroma wafted up from them and i was instantly excited. I had to get my nose in after the wash and deeply inhale, it's a tea for smelling as well as for drinking. The 1st steep yields a lovely amber coloured tea with all of the characteristics of roasted hazel and autumn fruits but with that beautifully sweet floral echo you expect from a quality oolong. The 3rd steep is where the magic happens! the colour fades somewhat and you don't think its going to taste of anything and then... All these bold floral notes come to the forefront with a syrupy sweetness on the back end and it will echo around your mouth and the back of your throat for a good time after. I will be ordering this in bulk!
